How to use your vanilla pods
Split the vanilla pod in half lengthwise, scrape the seeds with the tip of a knife, and then infuse the whole pod in a warm liquid (milk, cream) to release all its flavors. Do not throw away the infused pod: dry it to flavor your sugar.
Storage
Store your vanilla pods in their resealable case, away from light and heat. When well stored, they retain all their aroma for over a year and remain flexible.
